Mama Liberia: The Beautiful Woman Who Loved the Wrong Men. By Henry Mugee Massaquoi (King David) Mama Liberia is a beautiful, strong, black woman — pure, innocent, and filled with love. She never needed a man for what he has because she has her own. All she needed was a man who would truly love, protect, lead and build with her. But like many women of grace and kindness, she fell in love with the wrong men. These men saw her beauty and innocence not as something to protect, but as something to exploit. They took advantage of her love, her generosity, and her forgiving heart. She is so beautiful and radiant that even those who didn’t understand her — those confused about their own identity — desired her and used her. Her abusers, threatened by her light, placed a spiritual spell upon her to blind her from her worth. They did not want her to ever recognize the queen she truly is, or to find the man destined to love her purely. That man — the right man — is a God-fearing man. He has been set apart by the Almighty to bring her back to herself, to reintroduce her to her Creator, Jesus Christ. He comes not to exploit, but to heal her wounds; not to use her, but to teach her self-love and show her what true love feels like again. But the question remains: Is Mama Liberia too broken, too traumatized, and too corrupted by manipulation and mistreatment to recognize a good man when she sees one? Has pain hardened her heart to the point where she no longer believes in love or redemption? Perhaps she no longer trusts easily. Perhaps she repeats the familiar line, “I’d rather be with the devil I know than the angel I don’t.” One cannot blame her — for she has been hurt repeatedly and deceived by those who claimed to love her. She knows no better, and she still walks under the shadow of those spiritual spells. Yet, there is hope. If only Mama Liberia can believe again — if she can find the strength to trust in Jesus Christ and open her heart once more — her suffering can end. Her healing and her redemption can begin. The Lord is sending her a new man — a chosen one — in 2029. Through him, God will restore what was lost. Through him, Liberia will remember her worth, her beauty, and her divine purpose.Mama Liberia, give love one more chance. Believe again in Jesus Christ, your true husband, your redeemer, your healer.
